For God has NOT given us a spirit of fear

I've never been around bison before so when my friend told me her son has a bison farm, I, of course, had to go take pictures.  My first attempt wasn't good. As soon as we pulled up to the farm, my daughter called me from college saying she broke her foot.  So needless to say, I attempt a few pictures but my heart was just not in it.  She is about 9 hours away and I'm not a huge fan of hospitals (long story).  But she is blessed with an awesome roommate who helped her.  So in the end, everything worked out.

The second time I went, I knew everyone was safe at home and I could enjoy taking pictures.  It had just snowed the day before but was really cold.  My friend took me out to the field.  They have a huge area that is fenced in.  I didn't go inside the fence but as I was standing out there, they were curious and kept coming closer and closer. They are amazing creatures and with such strength.  As they were getting closer, I thought this fence will not protect me if they decided they wanted out.  Whenever I start to fear, I think of my FEAR NOT goat picture. 'FEAR NOT, for I am with you;' Isaiah 41:10.  I ended up getting a lot of really good pictures and had a lot of fun watching them. I love that we can see their breath. That just makes the picture that much cooler.

As I was looking for a verse, I thought about being brave.  The verse 'For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.' 2 Timothy 1:7 came to me.

God calls us to be strong and courageous, Joshua 1:9. Sometimes is hard to do what we have to do and I don't know if it ever gets easier but God is always there with us. When I start to worry and think about what if this happens, what if I can't do it, etc., I know that fear and anxiety is not from God.  He has called us to be brave.

One of my favorite quotes. "Courage is fear on its knees."
