I love it when I find a good deal even if it's on the side of the room. There's been many times that I'll call Jason and have him meet me somewhere with the van. For some reason, I'm always drawn to old furniture that needs a lot of work. It already has 'character' so when something happens to it, I won't be upset. I say it adds more character.
Recently, my daughter moved out on her own. Before she left we started going to the Goodwill store in town. We found quite a few things for her apartment. It's fun when you find the perfect thing that you didn't know you needed! Anyway, I started to go there when I go around town doing errands. It makes me happy for some reason. I will text my daughter when I see something that I think she may like. I guess it makes me feel like she's still close by.
Well, this winter I went to Goodwill to see if they had anything new. I mainly look at the kitchen stuff. I'm walking down the aisle, looking around and I looked up. I was suprised to see one of my Happy Goat Mugs in perfect condition for $1.50! My first thought was who in the world would get rid of their Happy Goat Mug! It makes me smile when I use mine and I drink my tea out of it every morning! Then I thought that's so funny. Here I am in Goodwill and I see my Happy Goat Mug on the shelf. I ended up buying it and eventually gifting it to my niece who loves coffee.
Then a few days later, my other niece and her boyfriend were in Nashville, TN visiting my nephew. They spent one day going to different thrift stores. I guess he found one of my plaques (Steps - In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs - 16:9). Well, that ends up being his verse so he bought it. My niece sent me a picture of him with the plaque.
At first, I'm thinking that's two thrift places within a week that I know of that have my products. I didn't know if I should be offended or laugh. Well, I chose to laugh. I can't believe our products have been around long enough to have them at thrift stores and how God can use it so more people can see them.
I've had customers in the past who have told me that they found our products at thrift stores. I guess I never really thought about it until I saw it for myself!
Anyway, thank you to those who pass our products along! You never know who may need them.
